Opened in April 2017, Hendrix was conceived as a neighborhood restaurant to serve the local coastal communities surrounding Ocean Ranch Plaza at the crossroads of Golden Lantern and Del Avion bordering Laguna Hills and Dana Point.
Earthy tones and raw materials helped create the casual mood in this restaurant project. The designers carried this theme into the lighting selections with soft metals, hand-blown glass and wood veneers. Illuminating Interiors helped to bring this project to light. We worked with one of our suppliers to create custom wood veneer drum shade pendants to hang over each table.
The size was important, as to not overpower the room and create a warm inviting space to dine. The diffused light is meant to soften the hard surfaces as well as provide the right amount of ambient light against the natural light. We sourced the chandeliers in the main dining room to meet the specifications of the designers. It was fun watching this project come together and see our products used throughout the space.
Hues of blues against a white palette are a coastal favorite and this project did not disappoint that notion. The designer pulled together the scheme with wicker textures, colorful pillows, and mother of pearl accents found in the kitchen chandelier.
The chandelier is a perfect mix of comfortable and classic without being overdressed. We might be partial but we feel like the chandelier style defines the space and complements the tile backsplash and natural tones used in the kitchen.
Full House remodel, the house was taken down to the studs with an addition of approximately 400 sqft.
